Choose and Icon: 80's Teen Idol Addition

Today's choose edition of "Choose and Idol" is a 1980's teen idol version with two of my favorites from back in the day:
Tiffany
and
Debbie Gibson

So let's get to it!
Which teen idol had the best style?

Tiffany with her long, red feather locks and signature pegged jeans and denim jackets.

OR

Debbie with her black hats, shoulder pads, blazers....and of course, her electric youth.

Roughly the same age...totally the same genre.
Which one is your 80's teen (style) idol?

  1. I have to go with Tiffany. My jeans were definitely pegged! I don't think I emgerged from the awkward teenage phase until my junior year in high school.

  2. My style in the 80s was a little Debbie Gibson, a little Punky Brewster, and a lot what my friends were doing. Drop-waisted dresses, pegged jeans, HUGE glasses, interesting stone wash, and Converse. Oh how I wish I still had the Guess jeans with the zippers at the ankle and the hot pink converse. Not so much the HUGE glasses.

The '90s was my favorite fashion decade.

  3. Definitely Debbie Gibson. I liked Tiffany but Debbie was my girl in elementary school. I remember wearing hats and blazers and being so excited that I got Electric Youth perfume for my birthday.

  4. Debbie Gibson!!! Pretty much she rocks the world. My sister and I used to rock out to Debbie constantly. Plus, who can deny the awesomeness hats. Nice!!

  6. To rephrase that,hmmm.. to choose between the two. Maybe Debbie Gibson. But what about Kylie Minogue?. She was pretty fun, as far as late 80's teeny bopper divas go.....

  7. I was all about Tiffany. I had Debbie Gibson's hair, but I desperately wanted Tiffany's hair! Tiffany's style was always more aligned with how I felt inside, even if I was all Debbie on the outside!

  9. Definetely Tiffany! And funny, just the other day I found myself humming 'Could have been'. Love Tiffany's hair - and her voice :-).

  10. Tiffany was definitely more my style...I had the jean jacket, pegged my jeans (really embarrassing story with them...thought I was so cool when I was an exchange student to Germany and I was the only one pegging my pants. Um it never really caught on and I was NOT pegging my pants very soon into the year)...but I think I liked Debbie Gibbson's music better.

  11. I think I started Tiffany and switched to Debbie, much like I dropped Seventeen Magazine in favor of Sassy. :)
