its not for me, but i like the style on others.
Leave it. I feel like the color blocks usually hit at the wrong place and aren't flattering. Plus, I'm not really a brights kind of girl and almost all color blocking that I've see uses REALLY bright colors.
For some reason I am attracted to bright colors. So I'm all for loving it! Sherri | Thread Riding Hood
LOVE IT! love the bright pop of colours- but I also love colour blocking with black and white!
Definitely LOVE it
I'm a huge fan of color, so the more the merrier! I'm actually planning a color-blocked version of Victory Pattern's Chloe dress soon!
Love it! I have done my first color block dress and going to make another one for summer :)
Love it, but it has to be done in the right style and right colors. Like anything, there is good blocking and bad blocking, it just depends on how it was done.
Love it for separates, ie.bright bottoms and bright top, but leave it when there's lots of colours mixed in one garment.
Only when it's done well, and 80% of the time it's a miss. Just like pattern-mixing, you have to have a flair for it.
I wouldn't rule it out completely, but it's more difficult to accomplish well that most, even designers, realize. Either a full understanding of color theory or good intuition is necessary. Still, the results tend to remind me of either the late 80s or mismatched bedsheets, so no - I leave it.
Love it! I love bright colours!
Love it! I don't really like wearing prints but really like combining different solids in one garment.
I love it, fun and bright for spring/summer.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes! Even though I am a sucker for prints, colourblocking seems so classic in a way!
I've been color blocking for the last several years. I LOVE it!
I like color blocking if it is done right. I like only two of the examples you gave above.
I love it - love bright colors and sporty coordinates, and I love when the blocks are used to accentuate interesting design lines.
I LOVE it!!!!
Totally LEAVE it. Some of the color combinations just offend the eyes.
I HATE it! I just blogged about it a few days ago. To me, it looks like the seamstress ran out of fabric and had to substitute another. Or it looks like the shopper has been to the Goodwill and bought whatever was there and put it on together. Just not my thing.
