About Project Sewn

How It All Began:

Project Sewn is the concept of Elizabeth and liZ over at Simple Simon and Co.  Almost 2 years ago they competed in the children's sewing competition at Project Run and Play (where they loved every minute of it).  After the season ended they didn't want to say goodbye so when the opportunity arose to purchase Project Run and Play they jumped at the chance and have happily been running the competition ever since.

From the time they acquired Project Run and Play, Elizabeth and liZ wanted to start a companion site focusing on women's garments.  So after time and much consideration they launched Project Sewn.

Where We Are Today:

Project Sewn is a 4 week sewing competition comprised of 6 designer/seamstresses.  Designers are given a theme each week to base their looks on.  These looks are then scored by their fellow competitors and are opened to an online popular vote.  At the end of the voting period the scores and votes are tallied together.   Then according to this combined score one designer gets "sent home" and one will be announced "the winner" for each week.  This continues until the final week where a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner will be announced.

Between scheduled seasons of the competition Project Sewn will host tutorials and posts relating to fashion, trends, style, and of course, sewing tips and tutorials.
